A red shirt for Valentines Day? Groundbreaking…
Sometimes, the simplest projects can be the most fulfilling. I’ve done a Valentines shirt in the past, but this time I wanted one that I would wear on other times not just on V-Day. And when I think comfy shirts, my mind immediately goes too a classic henley baseball tee. They’re just so comfortable and one of my ALL TIME favorite pattern designers Mimi G (And her hubby Norris Dante Ford) have a great pattern out there and it’s simplicity #8613. I chose the PDF version which did mean I had to tape it together, but it did mean it was printed on thicker paper so I’m less inclined to damage it through multiple uses (more on that later). I began by tracing out all my pieces in the right size and lightly pressing them with my iron. I found the perfect color combo at Joanns in their knit section, a beautiful wine colored solid and a white/red/pink floral knit. Then I laid out my pattern pieces and cut it out!
